I'm an old broken down intantry Marine, but brandish your handgun that close to me and you probably won't like the outcome. Then again, I'm an old broken down Marine, so who knows?

That Marine is obviously a racist pig for denying that poor kid what he is rightfully trying to steal.

Green means progressive, right?

That's a different movie, but I won't hold it against you. I never understood why Pamela got all the publicity. I thought Erika was 10x more attractive.

About 5 years ago, there was video and great interview of a clerk at a check cashing place. Some guy comes in to rob him with a gun. He opens the drawer, takes the cash out and holds it out to the robber, who has a bag. But he intentionally holds it far away, and looks like he has given up the fight. The robber leans forward to get the cash in the bag, and BLAM. Knocked him right on his arse. Best part? While waiting for police, he made the robber clean up his own blood. :D I can't find the video.

Hah! Found it.

Like I said, badass. But, I suspect trained marine vs 14yo wanna be thug compared to trained marine vs veteran thug will probably be very different even if the marine ultimately "wins" both events.

I was robbed at gunpoint once many years ago. I worked in an autoparts store in a very poor part of town. I think I could have easily stopped it, but I just wasn't thinking that clearly at the time.

I'm 6'2" and at the time, probably 185#. I was probably in reasonably good physical shape, but nothing special. I was checking a guy out when a little skinny fella ran in with a mask and blue revolver. There were some rude folks in that part of town, so when the guy crouched down and said "put da money in the bag or I'll kill ya." I ignored him. I ignored him as he said that 2 or 3 times. The final time, I looked over at him and waved my hand at him in a "Shoo! Go away" gesture. After that he stood up (had been crouched down to my left) and stood next to the customer. The customer turned into a statue until the guy said "I ain't gonna hurt ya, you can go." The second time he said that the customer was gone in a puff of smoke like in the cartoons. It was about that time, that the fact that the guy had a gun and was robbing us registered in my brain.

I started trying to open the register, but because I was in the middle of a sale, the "n/s" (no sale) button wouldn't open the till. THere was another employee in the store with me. He came out of the back and started making noise at the back counter. The guy with the gun turned around and looked towards the back. Not only that, but the guy was holding the gun sideways and at an angle, so it wasn't really pointed at me. I could have easily taken the gun in that split second when the guy looked away.

But, it wasn't my money, and I'm still here to tell the tale. I have no idea if I'd have the presence of mind to do anything differently today, 30 years later. Hopefully, I never have to find out.

Don't tell that story on the train thread. The super hero's will call ya puzzy and your the reason society is gone to hell.

Same here :D ... I wonder what happened to Erika? She should have done more but she seemed to disappear into obscurity after Under Siege.

Apparently, it was the lucky night for both guys because in the video it says the clerk was usually packing, but not that night. And in the video the guy said "I'd a shot him."

Funny, laid him out and then determine the gun was a pellet gun and started laughing.

Believe it or not, she's never stopped acting and is still in movies (several slated for 2022). Maybe her looks just weren't enough to keep her in the limelight.

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000143/

And she's aged far, far better than Pamela. This is her in 2011
