I don't have time to watch this now, but I've always found Jason Cammisa to be an excellent automotive presenter. He could be part of a Top Gear or Top Gear-type show.

It is nice that American car companies finally make a car that can go around a corner.

The new generation of Mustangs finally got rid of the wagon's rear suspension solid axle and style of suspension and put in independent suspension, and plenty of HP.

The Corvette was an embarrassment in the 1980s, and has been getting better and better and finally they are making a dang nice car.

The ultimate measure of how fast a car is is the Nürburgring Nordschleife lap times.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_N%C3%BCrburgring_Nordschleife_lap_times

Ford has not released any official times, and neither has Corvette or Ferrari. The Tesla Plaid is just over 30 seconds slower than the 911 GT2RS, so crazy fast.

Im at work so not watching now.

I assume the GT500 is very fast at the track. I Image it would be very expensive to track a lot even compared to the gt3. Super powerful heavy forced induction cars are hard on everything.

Randy Propst did the hot laps in the opening video...to appease the loyalists here, the GT3RS was quicker.

I found it to be a fun fantasy video, but nothing in it, including the pretty girl, is anything an old guy soon to make his 78th trip around the sun should even think of messing with.

The new GT3RS's are crazy fast at the track, since they are all the PDK now and fast lap times is what Porsche was aiming for.

Give me my slow 6-speed GT3RS all day over one of the newer fangled computer assisted ones. Now if someone gave me one for free, I'll take it in the GT2RS variety please.

That about sums it up. What surprises me about Corvette is the car's rich and distinct endurance racing history. But it seems to be bought by and marketed to old guys with tightie whiteies and a bleach blond trophy wife well past her prime. AND those guys are happy to let the car sit in the garage and keep it with extremely low miles and original tires 20 years later.

I was excited to see a young guy where I worked in metro DC about 2015, driving a new Corvette daily, in the rain and snow to boot.

My Constitutional law professor had an 80s Corvette back in '98. It had the obligatory yellow primer showing thru the bumpers and that awful Delco instrumentation. But he also wore Sansabelt slacks...

He did a great job with this, even parodying TopGear.

I finally got around to watching. (I downloaded and watched on my TV for a bigger screen and sound). Great video. I really liked Pobst and Cammisa when they used to do the Motor Trend videos. The chubby hipster, Johnny something, meh.

I'm going to check out the channel that produced this video, ISSIMI. They've got several videos that look like they will be interesting.

Mustang was impressive. Never expected that I would have thought so, But, the video actually made me want to buy the Porsche. There is no substitute.

Drove the new 992 GT3 today. Much improved…

Even with the manual you can thank a German software engineer for the uber nannies that save it from flying off the track.
Without the ability to manipulate each wheel independently, it's a fun challenge to try and be your own, ABS, traction control and stability control.

Oh I know Ted, the 997 generation is known for being more analog than the 991+

Seeing as you cannot even get a manual RS.

I wouldn't own a GT3 without a PDK...in fact, I think its THE thing I like the most about my GT3.. (991).. PDK is mechanical perfection...

As far as the video, I hate when they compare Apples to Oranges.. Hmmmm, it takes a 700+ HP Ford to keep up with a 500HP Porsche. Whey don't they compare the Mustang with something comparable in HP like a GT2 RS?? ..

(because it would be no comparison...)
