The only thing special on those is the seats and extra storage under them.

I really liked my Mazda3 hatchback. It was really fun to drive. It was quick enough, but not "fast." But, it just felt like a much more expensive car. Road feel and handling were great! My only complaints were too much road noise, which they supposedly fixed with later models, and the seats were a bit firm on road trips. The only reason I sold it was because I wanted something with 4x4 and ground clearance to get down rough dirt roads where we go hiking. I still reach for the Mazda's paddle shifters sometimes when driving my Jeep Cherokee. Nope... they're still not there.
