last time i got aggressively honked at when i didnt take the right turn. i had a pedestrian coming across the crosswalk that the car behind me didnt see.

she fired the horns with both barrels. i was laughing..eventually the slow walker got into her view. she never apologized to me.

i should have flipped her off, but i'm not a panty buncher anymore. i'll never see that B ever again. my dream is to sit down at a job interview and to see the honker sitting across from me holding a resume. karma. its a nice dream tho.

Yea, it came with one. You need to enable Sentry Mode to have it record when parked. They just introduced live cameras in the Tesla app as well.

Whenever I'm around somebody flipping someone else off, I always ask, "Is that your age, hat size, or IQ?"

When I watch a Formula 1 grid all go at once when the green light comes on, I can only imagine how nice that would be if my fellow commuters were as on the ball. Instead we have the slinky, with the phones, and you just know you’re going to be 2 cars back when the light recycles.

Here in NY, there’s often two horn profiles: the “toot” the instant the light goes green to signify to pay attention, and the 3 second eff-you blast when they’re clearly on the phone.

don't honk often. Only for the truly worst offenders. Being late is preferable to being shot.

And the meek wanker behind them was too timid or relaxed about getting where they are going to honk.

These 2 guys won't let the other win the finger fight!

^ I did that with another driver once. We were soon laughing.

I wasn't driving fast enough for some guy who honked like crazy which caused my car to slow down for some reason. So he follows me the block or two further into the parking lot I was headed to. I parked, jumped out of my car and faked like I wrote down the guy's license plate (I didn't have anything to write with). Nevertheless, the guy gave me a load of it yelling and screaming and carrying on. I told him you need to leave earlier if traffic is making you late. He b****** some more as I flipped the bird and walked away. Where you going, azzwhole? he yells at me as he slams into park and gets out. So I pointed to the sign that said Sheriff Office and off he zoomed.

That is an evolution in the wrong direction.
Whatever happened to paying attention when driving?

Haha! Do that all the time. Especially fun at night when they don’t see you behind them.

cabmandone 11-02-2021 01:46 AM

I'll be honest, I have never honked my horn when behind another driver even if they're PAINFULLY slow to move when a light turns green. I'm just not in that big of a hurry.

That's pretty generous. If I can see that they are looking down, they don't get that time. I figure I'm honking for myself and for all of the folks behind me.

That's only in New Smyra Beach, FL. Baz started a trend!

I didn't realize how often I got flipped off until a friend riding in the back seat let me know. Apparently all this anger happens behind me so I'm oblivious to it.

Yes, lots of numbnuts stop early because they are playing with their phones. If I can, I'll go around them and get in front of them.

At one light many years ago I was in my 914 waiting on the light, and about one nanosecond afte the light changed the guy behind me honked, and not a tap tap, but a NY Taxi long blast. I unbuckled, and got out of my car and looked at him with my palms up. Shook my head, got back in and buckled up. About then the light turned yellow and I left him at the light.

Now in the days of the cell phone if the idiot in front has their head down looking at the phone and not paying attention I will tap the horn. Sometimes that is too polite and then I let them have a longer blast to wake them up.

It's often possible to tell that the person in front of you is doing this.

Honk loudly and turn your head backwards to blame the sucker behind you. ;)

Genius! I was bummed when they changed the interchanges between 45 and the various surface streets from the old cloverleaf model (no stop lights/signs) to the new model, but I do understand it was necessary to the expansion.

I've been almost hit and run off the road at double turn lanes when I was in the "outside" lane in and around Houston many times over the years. I've actually been hit when I was in the outside turn lane and the person in the inside turn lane drifted over.
I believe that's a problem with the fact that we have double turn lanes and at the same time, it's legal in Texas to turn into any lane you want. Versus something like FL where if you turn, you must turn into the nearest lane.

I say you do a preemptive flip off so when they look up in the mirror they see you with the fingers flyin!

We have a round about in Houston that's got stop signs at at least a couple of the entrances. Genius!
