Thank you .

Not really much more I can say, just some all around good guys/gals here .
I just got around to opening my mail and teared up a little bit .
My wife is doing pretty good. Once they cut her bp meds she started to return to somewhat normal. First few days home were scary . She was unable to walk , and really confused . She would just sit around with stroke face , looking lost . She still has a long way to go , but things are looking up .
She is kind of loopy still, but honestly , if she never gets any better than she is right now, I can live with it . I am sure there is a lot more improvement to come
I got the dates mixed up on one of her Dr appointments yesterday , so we had the afternoon to kill . We drove up to the reservoir , found a nice quiet place to park, and just took a few hours off of life to breathe in a beautiful fall day here in Pa . We sat and talked about old times, and times to come . It was the first time she was out of the house other than for doctors appointments . I think she enjoyed it
Its amazing the regular every day things that she forgets, but has perfect memories of the most random stuff . DLRs' Yankee Rose came on the radio on the way home, and she sang it word for word. I bet she has not heard that song since 1988.
I want to , and need to pay your kindness forward somehow, so when the next time comes around that we have someone in need here Ill be itching to step up .
Thank you again guys, the best
Fred

Things are looking up Fred, and it sounds like you and the wife are on the right track. Quality of life things like the reservoir trip are good for you both. Again, hoping for an excellent recovery.

Good news she has improved a bit there, Fred. A blessing for sure!

Fantastic! I'm no medical professional but most stroke victims do improve with time, based on my observations.

My step-dad had one and eventually he got better.

Will keep ya'll in my prayers.

Love ya - Baz

Fred. You clearly fit the definition of “Good Dude.”

You have been dealt some serious challenges and responded with grace.

We are all pulling for you and your family.

I think we all see people who make us cringe at their responses to life. You are anything but. You are an inspiration.

Thank you.

A hearty thumbs up, Fred. I like that you were able to get out and just chill for a few hours together. That's good medicine right there.

Best of luck to both of you and to your whole support group.

So great to hear you got some time outdoors just chillin'. That's some good stuff right there.

And for those unfamiliar with the DLR video, I thought the opening was hilarious.

"Not in my store, you don't!!"

And press on, good Sir!
