Best kill switch and tracking device for anti-theft?

Looking for suggestions and advice on both as theft deterrents. My PU truck was stolen over the weekend and I'll be replacing it quickly with a similar truck plus my RV is going to be parked on the street soon and I really don't want it boosted. Auto theft is becoming epidemic in Los Angeles as well as other places. A tracking device seems like a no-brainer. A kill switch that is not discoverable within ten seconds would also be great.

I'm all ears.

buy a vehicle with an immobilizer chip

Put a kill switch in it and wire it to the cigarette lighter or something

Did they drive off with it or use a tow truck and grab it? Truck is much quicker and no one thinks much of it when it happens.

On disabling the ignition: wire a female RCA jack rather than a traditional cut-off switch and mount it in the location of your choice. Even if it's conspicuous, aspiring thieves will very likely ignore it completely. I'd wager that less than one-percent of thieves, even if they were to see it, would recognize an RCA jack as any sort of anti-theft device.

Then just take the male end with you when you leave your vehicle.

Cheap, simple and effectively invisible.
