Suggest A 1993 Car?
Oddball question.
What 1993 model year car - that is an affordable classic sort of thing - should I look for? Why? My wife commented that my E28 is from the year we met (1986), my Vanagon is from the year we started working together (1988), my 911 is from the year we started dating (1989) and wouldn’t it be nice if I had a car from the year we were married (1993). Well, well, well. I mean, I am a man and certainly don’t need my wife’s permission to buy things. I’m not vash, after all (just kidding, buddy). But her blessing certainly makes things easier. Like, don’t have to do the whole groveling and begging for forgiveness thing afterwards. So, what 1993 car should I look for, that would play well with the current “fleet” - grandiose term for a few old beaters - and that is affordable enough - because she said “nice” not “wonderful” or “romantic”.

What did she have back in 1993? Maybe a 1993 version of that. Or a '93 of her favorite car or one that she holds dear to her heart with memories of you both.

Pure speed, hot, nasty, bad-azz, speed. Well that sounds like you need a 1993 Grand Voyager in your stable!!!

When I got my '66 Mustang is was the same age as when my daughter got her '92 Mustang. My vote would be for a '93 Mustang Cobra. Something different.

If I could find another one of these I'd rock it again. Mine was a '91 manual six 4DSC SE. 3.0L Engine and clutch near bullet proof. I sold mine after 20 yrs and over 300k. Still had the original clutch in it.

I frequently say that 1994 is the pinnacle of automotive engineering. The optimum balance of sophistication and complexity for reliability and self serviceability. Just a year off here but pretty close.
ZR1 corvette or Miata would be good choices that complement your current fleet, or combine the two for a 93 viper

That would definitely be a collectible! May have to settle for a 959 (or an Rx-7 R1).

With that, he’d also have the only one in the world. The 993 was introduced for the 1995 model year.
