Give Me Time, It'll Be Me
The parking lot of our small town grocery store might hold 35 cars. As I exited the store this morning, I noticed an older (I hope) guy standing and looking. I asked him if his car was hiding. He said he guessed so. I asked what it was and after he told me, inquired if it might be the one just behind him.
His expression said it all. None of it was printable. Getting old is some scary....stuff. Best Les |

Another viewpoint:
Went to a friend's college graduation, couldn't find his grandpa's car we borrowed. Beige Buicks are invisible in a parking lot. Don't drive a beige Buick. |

As we used to say, "If it had teeth, it would have bit him." This car, hiding behind him, next to the building he had just exited was a silver BMW 330 iX. I had noticed it when I went into the store. There were probably less than 18 cars in the lot.
There aren't many Bimmers around here. Best Les

Helps to park as far away from the store as possible. I mean WAAAY out - where no one else parks....lol....
I've learned to take note of what row I'm parked in as it relates to the storefront.

I was talking to my buddy when he said "what's the scurrying and cussing about?" I can't find my phone! "you're holding it against your ear" Oh, yeah

Zebra stripes or a Razzle Dazzle paint scheme will cure most of this.

I've taken to photographing the towers at the San Diego Zoo that show what row you're parked in, when I visit there. Phone comes in handy for that.

I parked a silver Taurus rental car in the lot of an AZ golf course and after golf, came out to find a big pickup parked next to it and a big dent on the side of the Taurus that looked like the truck may have done it. After stewing for several minutes trying to decide what to do, I finally tried the remote and now that didn’t work either! My rental was on the next row over. Oops…another senior moment.

They sell locators for finding your car. Just press the button when getting out and the locator will give you directions back when needed.
Of course, you need to remember to push the button.

Socrates once led a pack mule up a mountain while pondering deep into thoughts and equations.
When he got to the top, he was holding reins and had forgotten the animal. errr...That's the way I rationalize it. Right? Right.

There is no hope for me. Sometimes, I can't remember which car I drove to the store. It's really hard to find then.

Before he Covidian Era, when going on vacation and parking at the airport. We take a pic of the car in the space # and another of the row as we walk in.
We have in the past, parked and raced in because we were cutting it close. A week later we spent an hour playing detective trying to retrace where we parked it. Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk

I’m sure the “old” guy felt embarrassed. It’s hard to witness these events. When I park long-term at the airport I always snap a photo of the nearest location placard.
