Had turkey many years...
Our family tradition was Dungeness crab occasionally instead of turkey.
This year filet mignon baseballs.

We're going with a nice, traditional, pilgrim style meal for Thanksgiving. Ribs on the smoker.

Going to Mom's for Thanksgiving. We will be having pretty much the traditional foods, turkey, ham, sweet potato suffle, cornbread dressing, deviled eggs, salad, pecan pie.

We had a meal at work last week that was awesome. Smoked turkey, smoked ham, fried chicken, pulled pork, collard greens, green beans, black eyed peas, mac n cheese, and everything was homemade stuff. Man it was good. I would be good with just some banana pudding tomorrow actually.

My better half making a turkey casserole with turkey thighs . The casserole has stuffing . Sides of mash potatoes and green beans . Gravy of course . Dessert is apple pie bites store bought . This year it just us and her mom . A relatively quiet Thanksgiving but still thankful for all we have . Happy Thanksgiving to all , especially our men and women in uniform .

@2:52 - Somebody missed the cue to play the fart sound... that's why Hartman laughed.

Marge (Jan Hooks) dotes on the men in her family (Phil Hartman, John Lithgow, Dana Carvey, Jon Lovitz, Kevin Nealon) who loosen their belts, belch, pass gas and promptly fall asleep after the Thanksgiving feast. [Season 14, 1988]

We decided to not go to our friend's this year instead, it will jsut be wife, myself and my mother. No cooking, we are taking her out to Chinese since everything is closed. I ordered half a turkey, prepped their way. No cooking, washing dishes and done in a few hours. Looking forward to it. Burned off some baby fat this morning, did 40 hard miles on my bike so I can eat like a little pig.

I roasted my first Thanksgiving duck. Then I dropped it on the floor. The duck came out okay, but next year I'm going back to Thanksgiving steaks.

Ha ha...

Four grown-ups (Bill Murray, Laraine Newman, Jane Curtin, Paul Shaffer) can't believe that they are still relegated to the kids table; however, their behavior winds up being pretty childish. With Bea Arthur. [Season 5, 1979].

That a big duck. You sure they didn't sell you a goose?

Exactly what I did. A sister in town took my wife to their family dinner. I have no family left and they aren't my family. I was always just there.

Since it's second marriage for both of us (42 years) we used to go our respective ways on TG. Then one by one all my relatives died, so we did TG here sometimes and always Christmas Day dinner.

A day off is needed. Except I worked cleaning the garage since the car was gone. They brought back plenty of food with lots of dessert. Win, win.
