Wish us luck, after 31 years we listed our house for sale!

Since the kids have moved away, and we are getting older. After 31 years its time to move on. So we have finally made the leap and listed our house for sale in this crazy sellers market! wish us luck as we soon hope to be homeless and will be living in our very small RV until we find someplace in CO. to buy. Takes about 2 hours to cut all 5 acres with our Kubota tractor with 6' belly mower deck.

The tough part is finding a new place with a garage big enough for all you little toys.

Thanks, I was struggling with the scale and don't have much to compare with.

Does not sound too bad, and worth the price if you like the golf course-like setting.

I only have about 1/4 of an acre (on a scenic river), my little Club Cadet would take about 8-hours to do your 5-acres I'd imagine.

We sold the Zamboni we had about 10 years ago. Took up too much space in the garage for the amount of times we would use it. The Kubota's snowblower edge cuts the ice with the edge sharpened and the skids removed!

i live nearby. wife is a RE paralegal in pittsford so i hear all the stories about how fast and how much. you won’t have any trouble selling that quickly and at above your asking.

Gorgeous property and you've done a magnificent job keeping it proper.
You'll have so much spare time now that you can get yourself into real trouble!

BTW, that money will get you a very modest home in a Portland neighborhood on a 50x100 lot. And the taxes are frighteningly comparable. I'm going to have to give this a long think in order to reach some sort of reconciliation.

Good luck, Von. I always enjoy these kinds of posts. There are many of us in that phase of our life where we are looking into the next chapters and wondering how to proceed.

Perspective is always a good thing.

Having your RV is the key here to your flexibility.

I really enjoyed seeing your thread about it when you first got it and took the trip "out west".

I think downsizing is a very important aspect of getting the most out of our golden years.
