What are you thankful for?

I'm happy to be alive after a heart attack in April and triple bypass in May.

BP yesterday at 110/70.

Could be worse.

I am thankful for every minute of every day that I live.

Seriously. To me, Thanksgiving is no big deal. It used to be a really, really big deal growing up. Now it is simply a day of feasting for which I am thankful.

Gratitude is as much a part of me as my left foot. I flip the switch and there is light. I turn the handle and there is clean water. My house is warm and my beer cold. My kids (and their kids) live less than 10 miles away. I need nothing and want even less.

I could go on.

I'm thankful for being alive too, Bob. I spent last New Year's Eve in the cardiac ICU after having a quadruple bypass done the day before.
I'm thankful I got to see my twin grandsons who almost shared the same birthday as me. Missed it by one day dang it. They're 6 months old now and 17 lbs each.

My family has endured (some eve thrived) through a global pandemic. We have our physical health. Mental health is a daily challenge for some of us but we persevere. We have shelter / food / and all the stuff Maslow says are important. We are blessed with luxury, freedoms, and a lifestyle that royalty would envy a few dozen years ago.

Life is good. For this I am so very thankful.

Thanks for asking. It is a big deal to reflect on how good we have it.

Thankful for looking down on the daisies, versus pushing them up.

I'm not thankful for anything. I deserve more. More 'n more.

(It's kind of hard to throw off that 1980's mentality at times. Especially if you've had a good day on the markets.)

How's that possible considering Australia is the best country in the world?
Or were you born in Australia?

Good thread Bob K and am thankful you are still here. Life is pretty good at the age of 75. Heaven can wait(I think that is a movie title).
