Not easy to print your name in the snow. :)

It could be kidney stones(calcium deposits which possibly can be caused from very high doses of VitC).

Or the cause could be something else blocking the urethra such as a UTI.
My other 3yo kitty was in a sudden extremely foul mood one day and wouldn't let me get near him. Took him into the vet the next day and was told his kidneys had completely failed possibly due to being clipped too early blocking the urethra. Had to put him down that day. It happened that fast..

It could be a prostate issue, including the big C.

Sooner is better for getting to the doc. As in now. That's your most important blood filter. Cars don't last very long with a clogged oil filter. Drink 1/4cup apple cider in a glass of water and do the deed to see if anything improves in the meantime.

20x/mo seems a little high to me. Low testosterone can cause weight issues and lethargy.
Listen to your body.

I worked with a guy years ago. We had a big shared bathroom with 8-10 urinals and 5-6 toilets. On multiple occasions, he'd come in while I was using a urinal and I'd swear that the time between him unzipping and rezipping couldn't have been more than 4-5 seconds.

I always assumed he must have had a 1" urethra.

GH85Carrera 12-02-2021 09:40 AM

At one large convention I attended they had free beer. I was drinking my fair share, and some non drinkers share as well, and for some weird reason I needed to pee a lot. As I went into the restroom there was a row of twenty urinals. An old man was on a walker, and swaying around trying to get the walker out of the way, and grab the partition wall. I helped him balance and move the walker out of his way, and he unzipped, so I went one extra urinal away and started my relief. Some 10 year old kid ran in, skidded to a stop in front of the middle urinal, danced around in the I gotta pee dance, digging for his zipper, finally zip and milliseconds later was peeing, seconds later zip, and ran off. The old man sighed and said "I remember the days of youth" and I giggled. I did wait for him to finish and got his walker back to him. And no, the kid did not wash his hands.

Father in law, in his late 70's just had a urinary / prostate stent put in. He's reckons it's turned his life around.

911 Rod 12-02-2021 11:14 AM

20 times a month? Is that with a partner?
What about the 2 pee streams? Hard (no pun intended) not to hit the floor!

That's like my dog. I take her to the park and she finally finds the right spot. Squats and in a second the floodgates are there. I tell her to move her feet or it will get wet.

Mark Henry 12-02-2021 02:06 PM

Same here, used to be able to write my name in the snow from 25 feet, my urologist told me there's nothing wrong with me and "welcome to getting older".

This reminded me of the time in fifth grade I ran into the boys' bathroom for a fast pee and zipped my zipper into it in the rush. That really hurt for a long time.

This forum never ceases to amaze me; from a serious man’s question, good answers, total roast, and questioning your team! Well done! Women should learn some **** from this!

Much like you would hear from a group of buddies at a bar drinking beer. Different experiences, perspectives, and varied knowledge.

Yea that additional extra 40 minutes will be difficult to occupy. Stay the course.

vash 12-03-2021 06:51 AM

What about farting when you per.? That a thing that comes up as the wheels slowly fall from the wagon?

cantdrv55 12-03-2021 07:46 AM

Multitasking!

Joeaksa 12-05-2021 06:50 AM

Not sure if its mentioned in the four pages back of this but I found a very good tool for problems like this. Old friend of mine who is in his mid 70's told me his secret.

Every morning drink at least a small glass of cranberry juice. Turns out it worked like a charm and my flow is almost that of a 30 year old. Give it a try and see if it works for you! Sure did for me.

BTW someone mentioned Flowmax? That works as well but it also can slow down or possibly ejaculation. Last thing we need at our age is holding the soldiers in!

I think the deal is that for men, it's a mechanical issue. You need to empty the hopper to keep it healthy and keep the pipes flowing freely.

For women, there are hormonal benefits and possibly benefits WRT musculature, but I don't think they have a cause/effect issue (enlarged prostate and pee flow issues) with how frequently they have sex like men do.

I think sex for women is supposed to exercise the muscles. You also hear about incontinence being an issue, so maybe more frequent sex keeps the muscles working and keeps the incontinence away. Still, I don't think it's quite the same as the prostate and flow rate issues in men.

And, I think, everyone benefits from the hormonal benefits, oxytocin, feeling good, etc.... I don't think the women have the market cornered on that. And I suspect at least some of that is enhanced if it's a dance w/partner vs a solo rehearsal.

I seem to remember there was someone here on the board that had recommended saw palmetto supplements for helping. I want to say it was Recycled Sixtie or someone like that.

Be glad you can pee normally, even if slowly, instead of self catheterization. I had to do that for awhile after a trip to the hospital. No fun! 5 times a day!

Can relate to this. Unfortunate how things we once took for granted can become daily issues.

He was just trying to get his twenty in before the end of the month.

wcc 12-05-2021 01:29 PM

You should check your prostate.

My dad (87) takes flowmax and he says he goes like he did when he was in his 20s. Talk to your dr and see if that helps you out..

I purchased a Teeter inversion table after countless chiropractic and massage visits for a sciatic problem. A dang miracle.
