mmmmm, yummy. I'll abstain, because if I start, I'll eat them all which isn't fair to the others.

Are they soft/chewy or crunchy? They look like they might be crunchy around the edges.

Every time I think this forum has hit rock bottom it gets taken down another notch. Old men baking cookies and sharing pictures. This needs to be on Facebook.

Gin? Hmm, well, cookies are associated with Christmas. Gin is Juniper based, and therefore often has a strong piney/conifer aroma, so sure, I can see it.

What gin do you like?

Did you use a personal recipe or make tollhouse or something like that?

Just for that I won't be sharing pics OR any of the brownies I'll probably be baking later today to help warm up the house.

Gin is grain or potato based, I think. and infused with aromatics..juniper being the usual suspect. I am not a gin expert..but I like London gins. Tanquray, etc. (sorry, apparently I cannot spell either)

gin with choc-chip cookies sounds wacked..but i'm game. its gin and cookies afterall.

Yeah, my wife baked a bunch of cookies last week but she left them down at my son's for him and the family to eat. She said they weren't in my diet so none for me.

Yeah, I'm probably going to stick with milk, but if all I had was gin, I'm game to give it a shot.

I think most of what I've had has been "London Dry" as well. I'd like to give a few a try back to back, but it seems crazy to have several bottles open at the same time. Then I suspect there can be huge variation in each style, ie, 3-4 different London Drys could be very different from each other.

My wife usually makes rum cookies this time of year. Our son makes a vinegar pie for the holidays that is very sweet since it is sugar and eggs.

I am not usually a cc cookie fan, but soft and chewy with crunchy edges just out of the oven are hard to resist, especially with milk or coffee.

Man, now I miss the Golden Guernsey chocolate milk.

Cheap Gin, clear like water. Not shaken or stirred, Gulped, like pool hall Gin

When the Customs Agent asks me.."what is the nature of your visit?" should I answer 'chocolate chip' or 'Christmas' cookies?? And...will he believe me?

They look good.

The cookies that I hate are those Christmas sugar cookies with the red or green sparklies on them...Blecch!

I wasn't going to complain about free cookies, but I do prefer all chewy. I wouldn't throw them off the plate for leaving crumbs.

As a matter of fact, I'll eat, I mean, "dispose of," the first batch while he makes another batch for Steve!

Pecans, not walnuts...

(Oh wait, I get it, you're trying to find a new market for the nuts in your yard! Got it, mum's the word.)

Yes, walnuts. Walnuts in everything. Walnut salad, walnut cocktails, baklava with walnuts!!
