Revell Jaguar E-Type Model Kit

https://youtu.be/xnqJU-KEf4E

I saw this and thought it looked like Widebody911's Jag. If you like building model cars, this guy does some pretty neat things to bring out the detail in a kit. I've learned a lot from watching his videos.
Anyhoo, I posted this mainly for Widebody911. Enjoy.

I think it was Monogram that made the really big 1/8 scale model of the E-type Jaguar coupe in yellow and a 63-67 Corvette coupe in orange. I was a kid back in the early 70's when I built the model of the E-type. All went well and the last thing to install was the windshield.

I had glue on my fingers and totally screwed up the windshield. I was beside myself.

So I wrote a letter to Monogram pleading for a new windshield, stuck a 5 dollar bill in the envelope with the letter and mailed it off to them.

A couple weeks later I received a small box that contained a new windshield wrapped up in tissue paper and my 5 dollar bill.

I've still got that model, been meaning to find a local guy with an E-type coupe to give it to.
EDIT: Better yet might be worth finding a guy with an E-Type that has a nice pair of used SSI's for my 911 to trade! WOW!

Reminded you of Thom's car; did it have a pair of size 17 Birkenstocks in the back or something?

I only assume the red Jaguar E-Type Coupe is his car. It's a beautiful car nevertheless. There used to be one exactly like it, same color and all, running around Auburn, Alabama but I haven't seen it in a while.

I'm currently doing some of the same detail treatment to a Revell 1980 Ford Ranger F150 1/24 pickup truck with the flareside bed. I am building it to match my 78 F150 flareside with the same colors. I realize that the front grill is a bit different on the 1980 model, but my 78 has the square headlights, and a newer style bed, so it should be a really good representation of the real truck out in my barn.

The model is all currently still in it's plastic trees, and I have been painting parts (even some of the chrome parts like he did).

There's wire wheels made from resin available on ebay that would really help that E-type pop.

Here is the same model but this guy changed the color and used 3D printed wire wheels. This one looks fantastic.
