The Matrix Resurrections
Opens next week...I will be there. :)
A different trailer was released...lots of connections to the original. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/nNpvWBuTfrc" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
I REALLY want to see it.
I know lots of folks think KR isn't much of an actor, but I like him. And I'm hoping this new episode is really good. The previews certainly look good. |
I'm glad to see that Mr. Anderson is back...an excellent villian.
What about Fishburne?? |
Streams on HBO Max as well when it opens Dec 22nd. Yay!

I'm really looking forward to this...
And I'm really glad they brought back Carrie Anne Moss. :) |
^^^ Too bad they couldn't get Fish back.
Morpheus won't be the same. |

Well... It was good. Great in parts but it was also repetitive in others.
Interesting story arc with some original ideas and it's a lot better than I thought it would be. Well worth seeing on the big screen. |
I thought is was ok...but a bit of a letdown. The fight scenes and special effects were no better than the original...should have been better.
Fish was missed. |
saw it last night. it was ok. one gem was the writers knew the last movie sucked and that in an offhand or backhanded way wrote that into the script.
Would rather watch the original again than this one. |
I saw it again last night and I enjoyed it. A second viewing helps clarify the story.
I kept thinking most of the cast would have been really young or not even born when the original was released. Jessica Henwick as Bugs was a real stand out IMO. However it looks like the YouTube amateur critics don't like the movie. The same thing happened with "The Last Duel" and that bombed big time. But "No Time To Die" is set to become the most successful movie of the year: 774 million USD world wide right now! |

It was like 3 different movies glued together. We turned it off after each one, and had to put an effort into turning it back on again.
Minutes 0-30? Movie Concept #1 Minutes 31-91? Movie Concept #2 Minutes 91-151? Movie Concept #3 First was a self-conscious mind-f##k parody, second was an intellectual examination of self or truth or whatever, third was an action movie. |

https://www.boxofficemojo.com/year/world/ Number two is: The Battle at Lake Changjin (Chinese, never heard of it) Number three: Hi, Mom (Again Chinese and never heard of it) EDIT: The Matrix Resurrections is number 55 @ $68,700,000 - Not great but not bad either. |
I have tried to watch them, but just have no interest.

If I were rating the four movies....I would give them a 5-2-2-3 out of 5 stars. (in order of the movies) |
I would say 5-4-0-3
I give a 4 to the second mostly because of the massive Agent Smith scene. |
I might have to watch 'Reloaded' again.
I've only seen it once...but the 'The Matrix' I've seen at least 6 times. |
The Matrix movie series is a modern film based analogy of transgender life; take the red pill and live your trans life in the truth as the gender you feel you are or take the blue pill and live in the alternate reality as the gender your not.
There was a huge argument about Neo in the writing of the film, original plot was in the Matrix she is a he, in the alt reality he is a she. To make the movie sell Neo is a she in both worlds. Enjoy your popcorn, don't choke. |
Thanks a lot.....:D

the rest of it, i am not overthinking. my popcorn is going down the correct pipe :) |
The bank lobby scene and the helo scene have never been equaled in other movies.
The sound of the empty cartridges and the bass of the helo are awesome. Show me another movie that compares. Transgender analogy...fttt. |

Wow some of you guys are harsh. Is it as good as the first movie? No, but the original is truly a high point for movies is so many ways. But it’s better than the second and third movies. I loved the concept of the matrix making the matrix a computer game in the new matrix story line. And for those who seem for some reason upset at the trans gender links. Please, fist can’t people get over their prejudices and please remember who the writer/directors were for the originals. I give the new one a 7 or 8 out of 10. A good solid reinterpretation of the original concept with a good fun move over the top. And both Reeves and Moss were brilliant in their roles again.

Movies having an outside context reference in our culture is nothing new. I believe it enhances your entertainment experience. I'm still peeling back the layers of Space Odyssey 2001 and the 4 icons meanings as it relates to today's world. We have got to go to Jupiter for icon #4, not Mars.:rolleyes: |

^^^ Yeah...but the trailer is excellent. I give the trailer a 5 out of 5 :)

it doesn't have the rewatchability that Once Upon a Time in the West does have. 2nd Matrix was maybe 70% worth, 3rd 40% they were already overthinking the storyline with the Machine City DEux Ex MAchine crap.. and this one goes in to overdrive with the nonenses some more. They would have to pay me to sit through it. Nothing to do with trans whatever, Its just a half assed plot twist to the entire Matrix universe , I just can't be bothered with all that rehashing the story line. I stand by my initial rating : it's a steaming pile of dog chit |

You got it all wrong, btw. 2001 is all about food. |
