Thanks for reviving this thread and reminding me I have something to watch over the holidays... though I do agree I probably need to binge it instead of hanging until the next episode drops.

Cannot resist. Saw two of the first three. It's better than the first season.

We did 3 episodes of the new season last night. I miss Roscoe and Oscar.

David 12-21-2023 08:26 AM

Why are they dragging this out! We don't have that kind of patience anymore!

Tobra 12-21-2023 08:49 AM

This guy is so much better cast than Tom Cruise

wildthing 12-21-2023 04:53 PM

There is a reference to the movie. Reacher says "James Barr owes me now."

Or it could be from the book. I haven't read any.

They’ve signed a season 3. I’ll forgive them just for that.

James Barr was the patsy in the original movie. Reacher came to "bury him," but wound up exonerating him. He was considered a slam dunk to go down for the shootings in that movie.

The address they call out in the first episode, right after the t1000 denies Sarah Connor, is the address of a Whole foods store.

911boost 12-21-2023 08:20 PM

I liked the Sarah Connor reference from the Terminator

Steve Carlton 12-22-2023 11:27 AM

I enjoyed that.

Some serious broken bones in E4!

Got caught up last night. One more episode left.

Not trying to bag on the show but it's really not as good as it could be, IMHO.

Lot of it seems kinda "campy".

Maybe it's the writers just trying to interject too much levity in a show that shouldn't have so much - or any at all. I don't know.

Probably just me and my taste.

javadog 01-13-2024 11:29 AM

It’s not just you, I think this season is nowhere near as good as the last one.

If I hear “you don’t mess with the special investigators, one more time”…

The books in that early era were good, the adaptation to this season’s episodes is poor.

For that matter, Lee Child’s most recent offerings haven’t been that good. I suspect it is because his son is writing them and Lee has essentially checked out.

I think it sucks moose balls... the acting is so contrived and stilted.. and the pacing is so slow.. say a few words of dialogue.. pause, wait response, pause more suck balls dialogue..

I wonder if Lee Child approves or approved these episodes..?

Yes

I like season 2 better.

Norm K 01-13-2024 12:18 PM

Before I started watching season two, I saw a comment that it was better than season one. Couldn't disagree more ... I'd have rather just watched the first season again than to suffer through this one. That said, with one episode remaining, I'll see it through to the end.

fanaudical 01-13-2024 01:44 PM

I also think season 1 was a ton better than season 2. Season 1 was much more believable.

wilnj 01-13-2024 02:31 PM

Not a fan of Season 2 either. The writing and acting are very stilted.

Also, the Dixon character reminds me of this Seinfeld episode.
