I just realized there's a few I haven't read.

Some of the later one's I have read seem like they were just phoned in and not even remotely close to anything that could possibly happen... but then I read the whole book anyway.

Finished it last night. It was pretty good- I give it a "B". Watching part of an interview with Alan Ritchson, it sounds like they tried to follow the spirit of the books. I think the hand to hand combat was well done. I'll watch season 2 if they bring it, which I'm betting they will. I bet it will improve, too.

i think i've read maybe 6 books about Reacher.

one thing i seem to remember was how they broke the fights down. as Reacher was about to get medieval on some poor guys, he would break down his move, and anticipate theirs. it was fun to read.

I was thinking more along the lines of a guy that you would be surprised could defend himself. Lean, athletic, but not Brutus Beefcake.

I’ve never read the Reacher books, but I read all the NUMA/Dirk Pitt novels. When reading books, you use your imagination and while I think Dirk Pitt was over 6 foot, I didn’t get the impression he was a hulking guy, but he could take care of them self.

Definitely a Lee Childs fan... I will always read the latest in hardback no less....

His books have evolved but are much more consistent than other authors. Example, the last Grisham novel I read was flat out bad, he is very inconsistent.

Reacher is always the same.

Half way through season 1..... very enjoyable.

Three episodes on Dec 15th, then one per week though Jan 19th. I'd rather burn through the whole thing in 2-3 nights instead of juggling multiple shows bit by bit, but whatever.

Reacher season 3 has already been approved, ahead of its season 2 debut on Dec 15th. They're going to release the first 3 episodes on Dec 15th, then one per week through Jan 19th for the other 4. I'm might just wait until I can binge them all quickly instead.

I would love to do that. Just not sure I can be that patient.
