I used to buy repos and flip them in the '80s. One was a 1977 MGB in red, in beautiful condition. Not the best year and had those big bumpers built into the nose and tail. But I remember a shop called John Bull tuning the distributor on it. Helped a lot.

Lucas MFI. Runs off the distributor pedestal. I had one but went a different way when I put FI on mine. Very hard to tune, and Kinsler were the only place that would do a rebuild.

That’s Rick Patton’s kit. Uses 80s electronics so the tune is on a prom and you have to mail it off for updates. It’s pretty stealth though - you need to know what you are looking at to spot ii in situ.

The kit I’m talking about is a bit more up to date. Not a fan of their fuel pump setup, since I think it should be at the back where the original FI pump mounted rather than hacking up the engine bay, and the manifold is from a different guy, but this gives you the idea.
