I don’t think my rain gutters will survive. |

I just cant get my picture to load. Sorry. |
Yep, the image is a .png which doesn't work as an upload to Pelican.
According to Glen (who uploads A LOT of pics) you can rename your image from whatever.png to whatever.jpg and the upload will then work. |
hahhaha..
me too. i remember when i posted a "drought" thread, a very kind PPOT member said, "anyone that chooses to live in a drought area, deserves it" (i am paraphrasing). hahahh..then he proceeds to say he is currently watering his lawn. haha. i honestly went to the Tornado thread to see if that posting elicited the same empathetic response. "what, you picked tornado alley to live? whatever! i'm bbq-ing under my shade umbrella right now!". i am happy to report there was only genuine sympathy in that thread. :D this rain is crazy. i got 1.4 inches of rain last night..most of it from 3:00am to 3:43 am. i woke up to watch my rain gauge. \ bring it. i'll come help you hammer up your gutters if need be, bud. |

Works like a charm. I have a Mac so, right click on the image, select get info, change extension from png to jpg. BTW, I am sure there are betters ways to accomplish the same thing! |

Apple decides on their own to change to Heic files. So far a Windows based computer has to buy a conversion program to even look at it. Even Photoshop will not open a heic on my Window 11 computer. I refuse to buy a program just to view a photo, even if it is just a dollar. |
May Shasta start filling...and may you have record snow in the hills...

Let's just hope the massive rains don't lead to massive flooding, or mudslides !

As far as desert areas, it seems like local officials would work hard to keep the population within the numbers that the water supply could support. If they want to add people, add water sources/storage. They used to do that in LA, Albuquerque, Denver, etc. When I bought my first home in CO (we called it our "little house on the prairie"), the home builder was not permitted until the infrastructure was put in place (roads, schools, fire dept, water supply, sewage, garbage, police, etc.) to support the increase (based on expected usage). My builder built all that so they could build the large subdivision. Otherwise, they would have had to wait on the city. |
Guys, I don't think you have to pay for a converter....I don't recall paying for this....

Ok. I just figured out how to change my iPhone settings away from heic. Hopefully my pictures will start showing right side up.

I was pi**ed when I got the pop up 99 cents, when someone sent me an HEIC file picture. I wouldn't pay it, I didnt. I searched Google for a free converter but didn't find this one. Today is the best day ever, saved 99 cents ! thanks SmileWavy |
If history is any indication, no matter how much rain falls, they will mismanage the water and there will be rationing and empty lakes
