Where do you carry your wallet?

RFID thread got me wondering.

I stopped putting mine in my back pocket years ago after it started making my right leg go numb.

Where do you carry your wallet? Traditional or some new-fangled version?

I quit carrying a wallet a year ago....after I had the balloon kyphoplasty back surgery.

I went to front pocket for everything...but there was no organization. That's why I'm converting to the RFID wallet....carried in the front pocket.

I keep mine in my back pocket. When I'm driving the Boxster, I take it out and put it in the cubby in front of the shifter. When I'm driving anything else, it stays in my back pocket.

I've got a Dash Bando 2.0 which is a minimalist wallet I've got 8-10 cards in it. It is ~5mm at the edges and 19mm at the thickest part. https://dashwallets.com/collections/shop

I had a bum shoulder a few years back and moved it to my front pocket since it hurt to reach to my back pocket. Haven't changed back.

My father taught me years (decades) ago to carry it in my front pocket, especially when flying into Newark.

When I'm wearing any jacket with an inside pocket I carry it there. When I know that I'm going into a crowd I put it in my front pocket. Otherwise it's on my butt cheek.

In an inside jacket pocket if I’m wearing a sports coat or suit. Right front or right rear pocket if I’m wearing pair of pants, without a jacket. My wallet’s about an 1/8th inch thick; a drivers license snd a couple debit cards. Sometimes a little cash, usually not.

If I’m not wearing a jacket, it’s in my side pocket, otherwise in an inside jacket pocket (preferably zipped). I just carry a small Filson wallet like this one, with only the essentials in there. Credit card, licensed, healthcare card, etc. I like to keep it as thin as possible. I hate having anything in my pockets in general, even keys. I only carry 2 keys, one for each property I have (all locks the same on each one).

Leather is too pliable. Kept bending everything inside. This bad boy has a clip on the back for cash. This will probably be my last wallet as it is very durable (and had it for years already).

What about receipts? For those purchases you’re not sure about keeping and don’t want to lose or misplace the paper.

Take a picture of it. Same with health insurance cards, etc. No need to carry any of that stuff anymore.. I do still carry my CC because there are still a few antiquated merchants who don't take electronic payments..

Back left pocket. I am right handed but after cutting off a finger or 2 it became easier to get it out with my left hand.

Used to be left back pocket...but switched to left front. Hip pain after driving miraculously stopped.
Still carry an old fashioned trifold. With old age comes giving medical ID and insurance cards to
medical office females all too frequently. Have reduced credit cards to just two...Visa and Chevron.

And I've seen too many pants that had holes worn in the pockets due to items being carried that had "sharp" edges and didn't give. I figure a leather wallet is less likely to prematurely wear a hole in pants pockets.

Steve, good points. Never tried one of those "hard" wallets for just those reasons. Plus, with my lessening the number of credit cards carried, I carry more cash than I'd like to put on display. Guess I'm just an old curmudgeon, resisting change...

Where do you carry your wallet?

The one I have been using is so small and thin that I use it in the front, back or side without issue. Long gone are the days of the back pocket brick. Big-5 sporting goods sells them and you can get all different colors on line. My battle bag for work is all black and in low light, I’ve overlooked the darker colors. Not an issue most days but the brighter color helps me find it in a rush.

I have a small credit card size leather thing with money clip on one side. Front pocket only.

My dad carried a tri-fold on par with George Costanza's wallet. The stuff I found in there was just crazy.
