* Great recovery - Wardrobe malfunctions are common and she did better than most.

But holy smokes, she was all over the map. Certainly some ADD going on in there.

It's difficult to imagine what it's like living her life.

I’m definitely on high end of of the age range demographic for Miley’s show but I watched most of it and thought it was really good.

her acting skills aren't bad either....esp when playing this part....

I think Miley is an exceptionally talented vocalist. One of the best out there today.

But her rendition of Blondies Heart of Glass last night totally missed the mark.

It’s a sultry seductive song that needs to be done in a falsetto that is out of Miley’s range and Miley tried to do it a bit harder edged which just did not work at all.

The whole mega slut thing only goes so far. Debbie Harry she aint.

Todays music is very video oriented.

Has nothing to do with video oriented or not.

The range could have been overlooked but she took a sexy song and made it angry by yelling it and it just didn’t work.

It felt like she sacrificed the lyrics for a performance.

It was not quite as bad as but also not unlike when vocalists over sing the National Anthem.

What? Wait? How did they stop the overdub when she went in to get her red coverup?
Was she actually singing it?????

Debbie in her prime channeled some serious Marilyn qualities.

She could sell the sensual far better than say Madonna and without the slut factor.

Debbie was the complete package but even from just the shoulders up she oozed sensuality.

Yep, had a huge crush on her. Stayed up late to see her on that show with Wolfman Jack, "Midnight Special"!!! She sang, "Heart of Glass", and was wearing that trademark single strapped dress she always wore at the time. I remember wishing that strap would break!!! Lol. I've actually got a copy of "Heart of Glass" on a 45.

MC has twice the talent.

Depends on what you define as talent.

There are too many subtleties to ever really make that comparison.

There's that question people often ask, which covers do you think are better than the original.

My answer is always, anything Carole King wrote for and was originally performed by someone else that she later performed and released herself. That includes Natural Woman even though no one would ever claim Carole King is in the same vocal category as Aretha. But Caroles performance is equally as soul stirring as Aretha's.

Miley is undoubtedly one of the best vocalists currently performing.

But she also can't claim to have been at the forefront of a whole new genre of music that drove massive cultural and societal change for an entire generation.

Miley has matured and what she does today showcases her talent, swinging naked from a wrecking ball, sorry, that wasn't talent, anyone could have done that.

She certainly WAS...

Its a shame. She has talent.

She has a wider vocal range than Deborah Harry. She chooses to sing it the way she does for a reason, unknown to us.

One of the funniest shows ever on television. I can’t stand Ashton Kutcher, so I haven’t watched the reboot either.

Well, that’s going to be difficult.

I did really like the live version they did in 1999 in Paris, that is in rotation on YouTube.

Miley has got the voice, stage presence, and everything it takes to be her own "star" .... and she 'twerked" on national TV! Saw it here first fwiw and the only song I've seen MC do and recognized is "Jolene" ;)

She is really pretty no doubt about that, I will never complain when a pretty girl wants to tramp it up.

I used to donate to her homeless youth charity then she went woke with it singling out only certain types of homeless and lost interest in donating to it.
