Before you decide, remember he can't be un-boosted.

Not another COVID/vaccination thread. Please make it stop.

So my wife spoke to my son’s pediatrician who said she’s had her two kids boosted already and have had no side effects, not even the usual mild flu symptom that accompanied the first two shots. The doc strongly recommends the booster for my kid since he has Down Syndrome and may be immune compromised due to that. I also reached out to the DS community on Facebook and the parents have overwhelming chosen to boost their kids. We’re all putting our trust on big pharma and the FDA.

Since your son was already vaccinated, I don't see how a booster would be very risky. I'm no expert, of course, but I think you were wise to check with your son's pediatrician. It's supposed to reduce the harmful effects of Omicron dramatically, like by a factor of 25-35. Did the doc recommend the same vaccine as before, or cross vaccinating?

If i told you to jump off a bridge. Would you do it?

I love that last statement. Emergency approval. Doesn't work on Omicron. Causes real irreversible side effects including coffin. Yet facebook and some other weirdos on the internet said do it and trust big pharma and fda/cdc....

Are you worried of being publicly shamed, or just don't have the desire to research the whole picture?

I have an adult sibling with Down Syndrome, I'm sure you are already aware but for adults with DS the mortality rate of Covid is way higher than in the rest of the population. I don't know of any similar stats specific to kids with DS but would assume that additional caution is advised. Glad you spoke with an actual MD, the rest of us are just buffoons on the internet :)

You! With your facts! Sure, man... that's what they want you say, man...

Carry on, fellow DOEer, and hopefully we'll make it to the other side. Strange here that they're pushing butt-in-chair this week. I'm more than happy at home, in my bathrobe.

Is there some reason you need to be so harsh in OT? Damn.

It was completely uncalled for.

Has he had any blood work done recently, to assess the health of his immune system?

5-18 years old
582 deaths total (supposedly from COVID)

Is your kid sickly? If not what are you worried about?
You people need to quit being so afraid.

I wish I could give advice, but that’s up to you.

Working outside, but going in and out of houses where it’s hot cold hot cold hot cold, sometimes I don’t know if I’ve got a cold, flu or Covid. Lately I’ve had a runny nose and headaches but it seems par for the course.

Edit: I’ve had the shots, but not the booster.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was responding to his original post. Maybe all the information to start?
If it were me I would start with javadog's advice.

Read about kids having heart problems from the vaxx.
-Or professional soccer/football players dying on the field.
-Or professional pilots. (6 last year to over 100 the next)

Read about graphene oxide.

Your only question should be "Do I love my child".

Children are always the most naturally-resistant.
Babies bounce. There is a reason AIDS doesn't affect those now who's ancestors survived the plague.

My elderly uncle was fighting-fit when I visited him this last Christmas.
Old man scared the piss out of me when he got mad.
If there was ever a test case he is it,
Stubborn old bastard beat death to death in the ring and made it afraid to come back.
Cancer a few decades ago, near kidney failure several times, severe medication allergies.
Fker beat it all.

Last Christmas his legs had returned from a medication problem from lobster-red swollen to smooth and pink.
Every health check-mark was good until he got the booster.

He got the vaxx several days after I saw him last.
In one week he went from recovered and agile and healthy, to incapacitated.
He is now in ER today.
Just spent the day in the hospital and driving.
I spent the last two days cleaning bloody fecal material off every part of his house.
(be glad to share pics if you are wondering what that looks like and involves)

Something tore open his organs and made him bleed profusely internally.
Read about graphene oxide.

One person's reaction is not necessarily another person's reaction.

"may be immune compromised", but doesn't know? I would find out if he is immune compromised first. If he is compromised the booster may be the trigger. Know if he is compromised don't guess, make an informed decision.

We’re all putting our trust on big pharma and the FDA., yeah well not me. I think there is enough evidence Covid aside that they don't give a flyin Fuk about you, me or your son. It's about the $$$.

And put them on a diet.
Maybe throw in some vit D and zinc supplements for good measure.

How about getting your kid off the couch and outside for some vitamin D and exercise and eating properly?

vash 01-15-2022 03:35 AM

I don’t get it.

You already cleared the hurdles of the first two shots. Mental and physical hurdles. What’s the hang up on #3?

Seahawk 01-15-2022 04:56 AM

Lets keep this civil.

Best.
