I've dabbled in this, and related, world and every time we'd leave the session and go look for a cave somewhere.

The metadata for example. You don't need to be "you", just by your patterns you are already "you". And so are your colleagues, all defined by their relationship to you.

Phones aside, anything "smart" in this house gets a glob of hot glue in the earhole. We don't need that "functionality" to "enhance" our life/their bottom line.

Don't even get me going w.r.t. encryption and hardware hacking. If you can touch the device, you can get the data. Mr (Joe?) Grand gave us a "we're gonna find a cave" lesson over a week in a hotel conference room a few years back.
