Kaspersky virus protection

I have just been advised to delete my Kaspersky anti-virus protection. Anyone else considering getting rid of Kaspersky? If so, what will you use instead?

For Windows 10, I use the built in Windows Defender.

Built in Windows Defender is probably one of the best products MSFT have.

You really don't need anything else.

3rd party AV is a waste of money, degrades performance and has often enough created vulnerabilities where none existed leaving you more exposed than if you used nothing at all.

It's funny, I hadn't given this any thought until now.

Yea, one tech writer talked of how Kaspersky was very close to Russian government, and he advised to not use it. I would never use a Chinese anti-virus based program either.

For home or business?

The new ones are behaviour/AI based rather than just signature. They also have the ability to roll back should you get ransomware that encrypts your machine.
