I stopped watching the Woke movies all together. Tired of superheros being re-cast as Black, lesbian, transgenders with woke agendas who bombard you with their BS throughout the movie.

What’s woke in this movie?

Wow, they really liked “Something in the Way” as it seemed to be a constant throughout the movie. Not that I am complaining, helped set the tone.

Watched it tonight. Thought it was really dragging kind of slow until, wham, a big car chase. Kinda like the Batmobile as the 68-70 Charger apocalyptic thing!!!
Side note, yeah, could've done without the woke "white privilege" junk and what now, a kinder, gentler Batman??? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |
These were supposedly posted on Jeff Frost's (the model maker of the Batmobile) website. Seems the link is now gone.

watched this last night. i liked it fine. Zoe is smoking hot. crazy how much she looks like Natalie Portman at times (to me). the rich white dude statement i took at face value, because everyone that was in that club was a rich white dude. no more, no less., but to balance it all out, so was Batman. more of a stating the obvious thing.
would have love to see some more bat-toys. car chase thing, i thought, "OMG Batman drives a dirt track stockcar?!" and if i was a Gotham kingpin..i would tell all my gun carrying henchmen, "EVERYONE..aim for his CHIN, you idiots" :) |
All good points. If you like Zoe, watch Kimi.

Honestly, not a bad movie. I went in with low expectations.
The main issue I have with the movie, if someone is going to be in that kind of shape to fight, I would expect him to be looking a little more Mike Tyson than goth kid. The Original Batman was a man who worked out to tip-top shape, was a genius (that was OK in the movie) and used technology to solve problems (smoke grenades, tear gas, throwing stars in a bat shape, etc.). Nothing super human, but Superior Human. The Batmobile, Bat cycle, etc, were all "Super Vehicles" but not fantasy. I think they were closer to right here than anyone else. I really liked the Penguin. He was a fat, ugly dude with a limp. Again, a man. And the Riddler had a "point" about what he was trying to do. And a reason he was the way he was. I loved the social media implications! I also liked the portrayal of Catwoman. She is not evil, just morally compromised. Again, I went in with low expectations and came away mostly impressed. And I liked the movie. The sets reminded of Manhattan in the 1970's. 6/10 for the Batman character, 7 or 8 out of 10 for the overall movie. My favorite movie of the movies since the 1980s was "The Dark Knight". Again, mostly realistic and could be "possible". This new movie was actually a good second. Then the first two Tim Burton movies (While truer to the comic, they were purposely cartoonish). Then maybe the Ben A stuff, then the rest of the Tim Burton and Christian Bale movies. |
