Sadly, in NYC there are a goodly number that think they all dress that way.
It’s part of the reason why NC is filling up rapidly but SC isn’t.

That reminds me. Don't wear a pope hat to a Catholic mass unless you're the pope.

I would never wear a hat to church... period. Mebbe I should delete my post, but was just messin' with Supe.

That said ... I've been paying attention to "hats in buildings", both on TV shows from the 50/60s, and in real life.

Yeah.... my cap stays on inside of Home Depot ... and our society says it's perfectly acceptable to do so ... everyone but fint and mebbe 3 others ;).

I was brought up in a VERY conservative church btw.... most on this board would have been considered heathens back then.

Times change .... so do social expectations and what is considered acceptable ... for better or worse.

It's the kind of thing I might have done when I had to go to Mass every single school day, if I would have found a pope hat (or even a cardinal hat) laying around.

Hah! Just thought of something; was the guy in the OP wearing a Cardinals baseball hat? maybe that's the confusion!
