Oh yeah, wait until they tack on road tax and everything else to our elec bill due to down turn on gas usage and lack of tax revenue. When you run your compressor to pump your tires, run that radiant floor heater in the cold winter because your lovely wife says the bathroom floor is a bit cold or keep your super fast computer running while surfing Pelican, we will be paying through the nose. Be careful what we ask for. The .03 will become .20

I have been screaming about it for the past couple years to some people I know who's only interest is saving global warming at MY cost. We will pay fooking dearly in CA for this siht. I am not sure if there's a way to separate charging cars vs general elect. usage. I was talking with a repairman at a plumbing supply house couple months back. He works for LA unify schools and said the entire school district is eliminating all of their gas water heaters. They have hundreds in their warehouses and they are dumping them. Elect waters will be installed, to go green. Gas heaters are stupid cheap to run here. Not to forget that new wires, 220, will have to be run for all the replacement heaters. What a fooking waste of MY money. There's no end to this stupidity and we are all paying the piper in blind folds.

I received a message from my kids high school urging them to march to stop or reverse climate change. I had no idea it can be stopped, especially by marching? A bunch of dumb siht making decisions up top that only cost us money and have no knowledge of anything but votes at our cost. Ok, I am done. Got that off my chest. Sorry.

All new houses in Glendale CA will be mandated to be heated by electricity. No more natural gas. Inspectors will not allow the Southern CA Gas Company install meters.

This will add to the electric demand and likely affect the numbers in that chart, at least in the winter months.

I'd like to see the cost of buying a new EV car factored into that

Especially when comparing a new EV car to a gas car that you already own

The city has banned outdoor commercial BBQing since 2008.

I’m sure one could heat that way, provided a neighbor does not turn them in, but I venture to say the city would try and prevent that practice.

Quite the difference from here...they don't give a rip what you heat with...the smoke all heads over to Canada.

Last week and this week I have been doing an experiment with the i3 REX. I moved my equipment into it and I used it all last weekend keeping record of how far I am driving and how much charging I need / how much gas for the Range Extender.

It is saving me money, but is it worth the premium cost?

If I were in the market for a new (to me) work truck/vehicle, I may consider electric.

I have to admit, driving the Tacoma takes a lot less thought.

Just about every fireplace will fail purchase inspection if it has an old fashion fireplace built without a flute.

We had those dumb houses or condos built in and around LA during the 60s that run on only electricity. The Gold Medallion home with the stupid badge on the exterior way. I have done work on some of those condos 20 years ago. Some people actual like a flamed stove instead of the elect coil for cooking, but Noooo, some idiot decided what was best for them.

Why aren't natural gas companies screaming about this because this means slow death of an entire industry or no more deep pocket books for them? Yet, we have a huge amount of natural gas under ground that can be put to good use.
