Duesenberg LeBaron
I've always loved these cars but you have to know the right people and live in the US to have any chance of owning one.
But I can dream. Just beautiful! ![]()

I used to drive a LeBaron! Problem is it had Chrysler in the name.

Didn't they come with Corinthian leather... or am I relying on dead brain cells?

Took an entire family of them just to make the seat and arm rests.

Since the pandemic Jay has been doing his videos in a much more personal, one on one style with no guests. Many of the people commenting on them state how much better they are. Not sure what it is but they are different and certainly better in the last several months. He focuses on the cars, most of the time I couldn’t care less about his guests. I hope he doesn’t go back to the old format.

Making seats out of rich Corinthians sounds very Buffalo Bill...

One man bought all the factory blueprints, and is the walking storehouse of Duesenbergs knowledge. He can actually make a new part, and say it is OEM, and it is, since he bought the rights to the name.
I have said it before, of ALL the celebrities of the world Jay in number one on my list of someone I would like to meet, and spend a day with.

Of course... I disremembered! The lowly LeBaron's musta had Naugahyde ... back when herds of Naugas roamed this great land....

Interesting info. Every Duesenberg was made in 1928 but model year was year it sold.
And of course, they had the mercury filled crankshaft end for engine balance.

great video, and fascinating bit about when they were built - didn't know that.

And of course, if you said to Jay, hey nice driver, he would say thanks and feel zero insult.
That car is the definition of "nice driver" for sure. Watch the video, he even says his idea of a car restoration, is make it perfect, go to some car shows, then drive it until it is a low point car, and restore it again.

Detroit drive the Naugas to near extinction...now a protected species.

Coral lipstick brightens up any sow.
Those K-Cars must be a Christie's Auction House centerpiece by now..along with those hard-to-find Ford Escorts and Yugos. People in the midwest should check out this museum, while it is still open, if only for the beautiful stained concrete floors: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/indiana/car-museum-in/

I had a white Lebaron Convertible. Blue interior and top . Customer gave up on it, and I bought it for 250.00 Mice chewed some wiring to the fuel pump .
Fker broke down on me on my way to my first official date with my wife . This was before cell phones , and I had to walk a few miles off the interstate in a not good area in Pgh, Then, call her beeper, and wait for a return call to come get me from the pay phone booth . She is still here, but that pos was gone the next week . I was already playing with imports at that time. The real things are just fantastically beautiful . That is one of my favorite era's for auto manufacturing
