Not bad for Ft Stockton, check out a map of Texas. It is not exactly the middle of nowhere, but you can see the middle of nowhere from there if you stand on a chair.

Oh it is in the middle of nowhere. We used to drive from El Paso to San Antonio for the holidays while I was stationed at Fort Bliss. It is a long drive, over 500 miles.
To make matters worse, you either need to gas up in Van Horn or Ft Stockton or you are screwed. There are some little towns (actually more like just an Interstate exit with a gas station) but if you get gas at those you will have your CC skimmed without a doubt. Even in Van Horn or Stockton skimming may happen. Most times we drove that trip we would have to get a new CC.
He's going to enjoy pulling that trailer about the time he hits Junction and Kerrville. It gets pretty hilly there on down to SA.
DM me if he needs help in SA.
