What's striking is this was not done by an intern and just "put out there".

There was a Creative and Marketing team involved, 6 people at minimum.

I had a guy back in the day who used to write manuals, when they were still included, for our games.

He suspected no one really paid attention especially the Marketing guys who'd read a couple pages, make some stupid comment then sign off.

He used to put all kinds of F'd up shyte in them, like "Sandy Kofax used to pitch with a gerbil in his ass", stuff like that, just to make sure people were really reading it.

It's highly unlikely but remotely possible this was some stupid internal attempt at a joke that got into the wild.

As in it people caught it, there is a more recent version but someone wasn't paying attention and grabbed the wrong file and sent it.

Well that’s the real crux of the problem.

There had to be a half dozen people involved.

It tells us no one working on the brand has any knowledge or history with it.

Every brand needs an internal evangelist who knows every detail.
