The coffee shop my sister worked at made the best smoothies around. I stopped drinking them daily when I found out what they were made of. Ice cream base, strawberry ice cream topping and ice. Yes...a melted milkshake blended with ice. Every other attempt at smoothie making ends up a watery disappointment after you have one of these.

Nothing else - and certainly no ice. It's very good! |
Gosling's Black Seal Bermuda rum.
|
One banana, 4oz vanilla yogurt, 1 scoop protein powder, handful of frozen mixed berries - 30 seconds in the Magic Bullet and all is good.

I can't bring myself to make a "green smoothy." My usual is very simple: frozen berry mix, milk, and stevia. I also blend my overnight oats into a smoothy: rolled oats, milk, maple syrup, chia seeds, peanut butter, frozen banana slices, & a few ice cubes.

I need to do a little more research and experimentation on the green smoothie thing, myself. I have no doubt you can make some that are not only healthy and nutritious, but also tasty. Mostly along those lines for me it's been V8 juice with added celery in my blender. Along with seasonings and if the mood strikes a dash or three of vodka. Back to your overnight oats.....I had never heard of that so did some digging and found this informative YT vid......gonna give it a try.
