I've been very lucky. I never really liked beer but drank it when trying to be social. I know what a dope but I did learn my lesson. To this day I'm not even a social drinker though I do indulge on occasion. I haven't been under the influence in many years.

I unfortunately am a joy to be around with about 4 beers in me. Some folks i guess become angry or abusive whereas i turn into the daali lama in disney world.

8 + years without a drink. Everything got better. Not perfect, but all got better.

I don't consider myself a big drinker, never impaired. But I do enjoy a slight buzz on the beach. Limited to 3 drinks over 1-2 hours.
I also limit myself in what I consume. Usually only with food. - Beer (only wheat) Pauliner, or any German wheat followed by shock top, or blue moon in domestic -Whisky (Islay single malts) really anything from Islay. Only neat with maybe a drop of water if the nose is too much. -Red wine (cabernet / chianti) sipping only -Tequila (aged, sipping quality) straight -Nigori creamy sake with Japanese food -Gin and tonic with lemon Never mixed sugary drinks. -Disgestif -jagermeister one shot after dinner |
