Check out the site I linked, Bikes Direct. You might find something like I did after looking at a number of bikes, prices and features.

Motobecane could be Chinese junk, but try to get it before the TACO Tuesday....

A year in and ours are getting a lot of use. We take them camping. I ride to work in the spring. My wife really enjoys it and its a great couples activity. She rides with her assist on, mine is usually off, and the pace just works for both of us. We can take the dogs with us. I have sold off my old road bikes. I just wasn't riding them anymore.

Very cool, Jerry! Thanks for sharing - love the photos!

Mine was finally delivered today and I took it to one of my storage units for now, still in the box it arrived in.

Bit of a cluster%*#& on the Fedex delivery. It required a signature so I stayed home yesterday waiting. I signed up for alerts so all of a sudden I get an alert delivery was attempted but no one home so will try again this week. Well....delivery guy never came - and if he did he didn't knock or ring bell nor leave a door tag. I called and they scheduled delivery for today. Same thing - alert comes delivery attempted - no one home - etc. I called right away and asked they get a hold of the driver and tell him to come back - I'm home. He does about 5 min. later and suffice to say very lame excuses why he didn't ring the bell or knock. Luckily it's rare that any deliveries here need a sig. It's always with these e-bikes though!

The rest of my day went very well though as I got some stuff done on 2 motorcycles I've been trying to get rideable again after buying them in non-running condition.

I'll be back on my Galop tomorrow!

After living car-free in Dallas for 3 years, I finally gave e-biking a shot — and it completely changed how I get around the city. In this video, I share my personal experience riding a Riese & Müller e-bike (thanks to Electric Avenue Bike Shop in Victory Park) for two weeks, how it transformed my commute and daily errands, and the surprising benefits I didn’t expect — including how I was able to buy my own e-bike using my Health Savings Account (HSA).

In this video, you’ll learn:

Why I was hesitant to get an e-bike — and what changed
The mental and physical health boosts from biking to work
How I managed errands like grocery runs and dog food pickups
Tips for commuting in Dallas without a car
How to use your HSA to buy an e-bike (and waive sales tax in Texas)

2:06 Thoughts After Two Weeks

Here is a pic from a few years ago at Lake Pleasant AZ riding E-bikes with our doodle dog. She loves trotting alongside us with the bikes. This was a mix of asphalt and dirt bike trails with a few rather steep climbs. We punched the assist up to max and made short work of the hills.
