Common knowledge? How about look back pricing in an employee stock purchase plan?

ESOPs aren’t just for C level. Nowadays it’s part of the comp package.

And FOMO is a big part of buying and selling….

No, I didn’t.
Your point was not well made imo.
If you are saying you need to drop your own $ to advance, then I’m disagreeing.

I don’t know of anything that’s not a partnership that requires you to front $ for a promotion or to join the big boys club, but I know plenty of places that give stock as part of the comp package.

^^^In my case, it was very much front $$$ to join big boys club. It wasn't a promotion, but there are significant privilege's that come with being a shareholder.

I work at a very mom / pop culture business. Which is both good, and bad.

Poor diversification. You lose both your paycheck and nestegg if firm tanks.
See Enron
When I worked for Nike I took full advantage of a very generous retirement program that included (but wasn't limited to) an ESPP that has ultimately been very good to my bottom line, in spite of NKE shares currently slumping.

It's common knowledge that you need to take full advantage of any retirement program a blue chip company offers as part of the compensation package.

I worked for an employee-owned company and stock was the retirement benefit. I became 100% vested and then left the company. Later, the company went public with an IPO and my holdings tripled. I never sold that stock. The company is well-managed. I has done well by me.
