Intermittent forum issue with posts

I've experienced this probably a dozen times today, and have seen evidence that I'm pretty sure indicates that other people are having the same issue.

You type up a post and hit the button to submit it. The page shows as working for several seconds, but never changes to show that you're posting a reply and doesn't go back to the thread, but sits at the same page. The first several times, you hit "reply" again and then it turns out that you've double posted (because the forums aren't saying "you posted the same thing in the last 5 minutes" like they usually do).

I think Superman had the same issue in another thread and someone else double posted, but then edited their second post to say "double post".

After you hit "reply" button - give it some time. Do NOT hit it twice! Then hit the refresh button. Done....

Yep. if you refresh, you will see that your post was made. But the first time or two, I didn't realize until I'd posted twice.

And when that happens - obviously you can delete your duplicate post.

Hopefully this will get resolved at some point.

Nah. I triple-posted in another thread earlier.

Hit the "post" button, refreshed/re-loaded the thread in another tab etc - each time, no sign of any of them.

Did something else for 20 minutes - all 3 identical replies posted 4 minutes apart. Which was about how long I waited between hitting "Post" each time.

I noticed this yesterday or the day before. Got tired of waiting and went back to the forum to see my post was actually there.

I think Dempsey built it in to the sale.

Suspect the DB is having performance issues, with DB locks blocking the appserver threads

Who are you calling a douchebag, and why are you suggesting they need the little blue pill for ED issues?

For some reason the issue of getting logged out is now gone as of this morning. I hit the bookmark and PPOT came right up!

Thank you to whomever fixed this. I had thought it was from a Firefox or Windows update....
