My Prius saved our lives today

An 18 wheeler tagged me on the driver’s side rear and spun me around the front of it. It pushed us maybe 50 feet or more since we were going 65 mph. We ended up beside the truck’s driver door. I can’t believe we didn’t get crushed by its wheels or end up in the water because this happened on a Bay Area bridge. Anyway, I’m sure my Prius is totaled but am I glad we were in it. The Prius, though boring it may be, saved our lives (myself, wifey and son).

Glad you're ok.

I've been bingeing on Idiots in Cars on YouTube, and gives the impression it happens more often than usual. That stuff is scary...

Next time, I’m buying a car that’s NOT the color of asphalt.

^yes^

Having a car that is the color of invisible is cool and all, but it got James Dean's ass killed

Maybe an orange stripe

Glad you're OK! And I'm equally glad you weren't driving the 1955 Mercedes Gullwing.

Good to hear that everyone is okay. Cars can be replaced, people can't.

I'm really glad everything worked out OK. Modern cars really are a marvel.

Not that long ago there were a lot of death traps on the road.

Holy smokes! Were your underpants able to be salvaged? Glad everyone is okay. I always get as far away from a semi as quickly as I can just because I'm always worried they might make a move or swerve not knowing I'm there. What you had happen is actually one of my biggest fears when driving on a bridge. Wow!!
