Cat wins epic battle with alligator.

Cat wins epic battle with alligator. The Alligator, defeated, slipped below the surface and swam away. Cat paced backwards and forwards daring alligator to come back and give it another go, but alligator wisely conceded defeat.

I'm going a bit stir crazy being stuck at home because of this.

Cat is delighted to have me at home all day. Umm, day seven and still got another positive test.

Sorry to see those two lines Bill. Take it easy and take care of yourself. You'll be fine.

TimT 07-10-2022 05:46 PM

I'm in the same boat... I though I was going to make it past all this BS unscathed...but..

I'm at day 5 and the symptoms are gone.. temp back to normal, no cough or congestion.. I don't have any home test kits left so I'll go get tested tomorrow and see what happens

P.S.

My symptoms were just like a cold..really not bad at all..

Bill Douglas 07-10-2022 05:47 PM

Thanks Shaun. It's so mild, BA.5 variant, I didn't know I had it. Ordinary throat cold sort of thing, but GF being an ex nurse wanted to do tests and it turned out I was positive.

Tim, sorry we are in the same club. Good luck.

My wife, daughter, and I have recently recovered from our stint with covid, thankfully, my son who has had a history of asthma, never got it. The main issues we had were sinus congestion and slight headache. I had some fatigue and chills on my 2nd day and that was about it, never really had a fever.
For what it's worth, I tested positive even as late as my 8th day and showing no symptoms.

That's a weird looking pregnancy test.

Well, if you are vaccinated you can now claim how much worse it would have been if you weren't.

And if you are not vaccinated, it will be the same, but you will now have immunity against the CV. :)

Bill Douglas 07-13-2022 12:16 AM

Thanks, yes two vaccinations and one booster, then the real thing. it's pretty mild - good thing I'm vaccinated. The cats are very pleased to have me a home a bit more.

Yes, does somewhat resemble a pregnancy test LOL

I'm nearly a month past my bout with this crap and still dealing with an intermittent dry cough. The coughing fits can be a bit violent and will last for a few minutes. This sux.

Welcome to the club

I didn't know I had it as I'm violently allergic to mould  I had planned on going to a particular movie and I noticed some mould on my blue suede shoes. When I went to clean it off it felt like I was being strangled. I was surprised my nose and throat were "troubled" even the next day. And I wrote it all off as being the mould that had got to me. Just unfortunate timing I guess. Now I'm even more afraid of musty smells and mould, which luckily we don't get much of around here.

And the more you cough, the more upset your throat gets...

I was coughing like billyo for a few days but found mentholated lozenges worked very well.

This is what did it for me. Highly recommend.

At least you have a great companion there. I am stuck at home absolutely alone. Very sleepy and demotivated. Decided to ask for help from those guys instead - https://www.grabmyessay.com/research-papers . The fever is still high and i can't even do my assignments alone.
I hope it will work out for me and no-one will notice what the paper is not mine.

He's pretty good fun. Gives the computer screen a lot of grief. One day he had two sets of claws and trying to get his teeth into it LOL

PorscheGAL 07-15-2022 03:34 PM

It's been a few days. Feeling any better?

TimT 07-15-2022 04:35 PM

For me it was just like a bad head cold..3-4 days of sniffles and congestion, some coughing...I've basically been back to normal since last Tuesday

However I still tested positive this morning.. very frustrating..

Thanks for asking. Yes, 90% better. Well enough you could say.

Negative RAT so I can get out and about again.
