I’ve had a full set of floor mats in my F150 for eight years now. No problems.

I’m not bought anything else and I think the phone holder, which would be located behind the shifter on my truck, isn’t the greatest place to store/use the phone.

WT was the only company that made front mats for my Ford van when it was new. Glad I got them. The fit well & have held up well.

I've got these MaxLiner mats in my F150, WT knockoffs but they are very well made...

Went to their website. Looks like a whole lotta stuff I don't need. Maybe the extra high feeding system for the Dog or the tow hitch/ bumper step.

Over the last 4 years, I have bought a couple of cars that already had rubber mats: a 2008 Audi S4, and a 2006 Cayman. In the past I had a couple of 9X6 cars, both with the Porsche Classic rubber mats.

With the Audi, I found on eBay a set of factory Audi "Sport" rubber mats and replaced the standard A4 rubber mats. Disliked these the most all the mats because my left heel was always catching on the rubber ribs. I ended up buying a set of less expensive Lloyd mats to replace them.

The Porsche Classic rubber mats were fine. And they are the cheapest alternative I could find. Living in the mid-Atlantic area, there was nothing to dislike as no snow to speak of or wet conditions I could not avoid.

The Cayman arrived with Weathertech mats and a factory carpet set in the trunk. The Weathertech are great. I have never had the urge to even try out the carpet set. And just looking at them, I would guess they would hold significantly more water than the others should I get caught in really bad weather.

For $15 more than the Porsche Classics, I would go Weathertech.

Anyone try the floor tiles from there?

Most of the house floors are tile, including the kitchen. We have several of these. they are great - and made in the USA.

I bought a set for my Tundra and Land Cruiser.

Perhaps it is a Toyota problem, but, especially on the 1996 LC, the fit was awful. I replaced them.

The mats my wife's 4Runner came with are excellent but not WT.

I've found that if the vehicle doesn't have a deep tray for the liners to be set into, or if they are like the passenger side of my F250 and don't have the locking buttons, they tend to slide and deform which makes them slide even more. I did what WT suggested and put mine out in the sun on a hot day flipped so the bottom is up with a light weight on top. I then put industrial strength hook on the bottom so they won't slide... but they still slid and deformed right back to a poor fit. It's upsetting when they claim to be "laser fitted" or something like that.

My son has a set in his 08 rav4 and they fit well but it has more of a tray in the front so they can't really move around.

I saw a video once of how they fit any car for formed mats.

They place a laser unit (about the size of a car battery) in the middle of the drivers or passengers car's floor.
The laser rotates and measures every dimension of the floor. Then the numbers are used to form the right mat.

I wish I could find the video...it was amazing.

I had WT mats and cargo liner in my Lexus. They were nice and thick and long lasting.

I always had Husky mats in my trucks. My latest truck came with nice mud mats from the factory. As it should. Jus like a bedliner for Pete's sake!

ramonesfreak 07-17-2022 02:33 AM

Had two sets of WT floor mats and my heel rubbed a hole through both

Now I use Tux Mats in my DD. Way nicer

TuxMats in my Civic. :)

That's what I was referring to when I mentioned the mats resting in a tray. In my F250, the floor runs flat from the transmission tunnel over to the rocker so the floormat won't stay in place if there aren't buttons on the floor to hold it in place.

Sooner or later 07-17-2022 04:16 AM

I'll pass on the TuxMats

Where are the car mats made? To ensure the precise fitment of TuxMat in North American vehicles, we scan all vehicle floors right here in Toronto, Canada. The specifications are then sent overseas to China for manufacturing and later stored in our warehouse in Canada for quality assurance and modifications.

any of these should do for a bed liner...... the thicker the better.

I don't remember which one I got, but it is a good half an inch thick has nipples on the bottom side for drainage, skid bosses on the top side and fit like a glove. Stunning how heavy it is.... I bet is is 100+#

A buddy had a horse stall mat cut to pattern............

stevej37 07-17-2022 08:08 AM

I've had both the WT and Tuxmats.

I like to drive sometimes barefoot or just socks in the summer.
The WT is a rigid, bumpy surface where as the Tuxmats have a pillowy, puffy, comfortable place to rest the footsies.
Tuxmats also fit better than WT in my experiences.

I've found most OEMs have stepped up their game, and if you're looking for something on a 7 year or newer vehicle see what your manufacturer offers.
