[QUOTE=Tobra;11748530]Copper Sulfate is what you want for mushrooms.

Do you fry them in it....or just top them with it? :D

I see colours and have visitors from beyond after I eat mushrooms..

When I was a little boy I ate more and more and more mushrooms fried in butter. Then it became a battle between the mushrooms seeking liberation and my arse. The mushrooms won :(

Morel mushrooms lightly fried in butter are incredibly good eating.

Fresh porcini are the best, if you can find them. That generally means a trip to Italy but you can sometimes find a cousin up in the Pacific Northwest, sometimes.

One of the properties my dad owns is supposed to be a great place to find Morel mushrooms. I've never tried hunting for them. Everyone I know who has had them says they're fantastic.

javadog 07-21-2022 04:43 PM

There are YouTube videos you can watch about how to find them. Look for them in the spring.

stevej37 07-21-2022 04:47 PM

People that find them...will normally never tell where they did.
If you over-hunt any area...they won't come back.

A seasoned morel hunter will always pick them in an onion bag...so the spores are not wasted.

I'll have to look into it. I spend a lot of time at our hunting property in the spring. I would think it would be as good a place as any to find them.

I happily pick my mushrooms up at the grocery...

Peyote only looks like mushrooms (sorta).

Speaking of shrooms, this has been in my yard for a couple of days. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b9878022fb.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...debd7c1f5d.jpg

Dial it back to under a quarter gram, you'll barely feel the effects.

Don’t play with the red ones.

This has been an awesome year for morels in Washington.
Here's a pic from May. 4 lbs 4 oz in a few hours.

^^^ That is a great haul. Do you keep/eat all of them?

I sometimes see ads here for morels in the springtime....always sky-high prices.
