Porsche IPO / Spin-Off from VW

I’ve been trying to make sense of the overly complicated spin-off of Porsche from VW in the coming weeks.
Thoughts on the IPO? What about the Porsche CEO also concurrently taking over the top job from the ousted former VW CEO.

I always thought it would be cool to own a share or two of Porsche. If they printed up a cool looking certificate to hang on the wall that was a real stock share, I bet they could sell a lot of them.

Likely too much government oversight and reporting needed to do that at an reasonable cost.

No doubt the new IPO is just a way to get more money. The Porsche Piech family family are already the wealthiest families in Europe. All built on Ferry Porsche's 356 design.

Aside from the coolness of having a framed stock certificate (not sure issuing certificates is still done) Porsche is likely to do better than Ferrari’s IPO, which has increased 246% to date.

Hope he gives you better advice than I can find.
The best I can tell, and what analysts say, is that VW needs tons of cash to move quickly into EVs and try to become the market leader. That’s the why.
As for the investment potential, hard to tell at this point.
