She truly had the voice of an Angel. These two are great together, and Olivia at the end shows what a talent she was.

I carried a torch for her for, oh, most of my life?
|
I had a huge crush on her when I was in the 5th grade, 1975. I remember being in music class and there was a poster of her on the wall and I would just stare at the poster throughout most of the class. I would hear her song "Have You Never Been Mello" and just melt. Rest In Peace Miss Olivia.

She was the star of a #savethekoala campaign in the 90s, immediately endearing herself to the sleepy Koala she’s pictured with, perking up as soon as he saw her.

Early 1974 they were playing "If you love me, let me know" on the radio. I did not have one of those radios that state the artist on the double DIN screen in my 68 Bel Air so I didn't know.
Most of you know there was a dude with a super deep voice complimenting her singing. I don't know the term for that. I don't think its called a duet. Anyhoo, I thought that was John. Olivia Newt n' John. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dkMkHpKpLkM" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> RIP Olivia. |
Looks like it was Mike Sammes. I never heard of him, but he had his day. I used to hear this stuff and my grandparent's house when I was a kid...
