Buying used can be a gamble . I bought mine from a shop that was going to higher capacity lifts . I was able to see it assembled and to watch it work . Was able to take measurements and pics before we broke it down and placed on my trailer .

I would put the quality of my US built lift up against anything new available today . And the manufacturer is still in business and parts are available . One bottle of simple green cleaner made it look like new . New or used buy the best quality you can afford . Your life may depend on it .

Make sure any lift you buy is certified. All lifts that meet US certification must withstand 2X their lb rating before failure. I would never use any lift, ever that wasn't cert'd

I went with Challenger. lots of back and forth with size and placement.
one two post, and one small four post...
Its Full of siding, so waiting on some saw horses to move material out side and cover.
