Something I didn't know I needed: Hermes 3000 manual typewriter with Script font
I bought my daughter a manual typewriter at a garage sale when she was 8. I spent $7.25 according to her. (My recollection is $8.50 but that is splitting pennies!)
It is her most cherished item. Now, she is writing her college admission essay on it. Then my wife tells me that the only possible typewriter that she would prefer is a manual with cursive or "script" font. Search on! A local shop tells me that the Hermes 3000 is THE manual typewriter to have. On a crazy wild ask - does anyone have a Hermes 3000 with script font? If so, I would love to discuss purchasing. TIA!!!! |

I know! $900 just seems pretty darn steep for an uber discretionary toy.

Mom had a Hermes 3000. It was one of many things we didn't have room to store so it went to the Goodwill store.

This being the digital age, I switched to an app supposedly designed by Tom Hanks called Hanx writer that emulates an old manual for the iPad back in 2014. (Hanks, you may know, collects typewriters and has 120 models.)

Grandma had a IBM Selectric with various font-face balls to install, including cursive.
