Was this a horror flick or a porn flick? That black square looks like something out of a bathhouse. Ewww🤢http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1663558337.jpg

Update: Film being released sometime in early 2023. The Invisible Raptor movie
|
If a giant chicken is a raptor, I'd be running for the hills!

I recognize 3 of the actors, Frodo's buddy, Samwise, and a couple of actors that have been around forever. This seems like it's got the makings of a great B movie. Quote:
sounds like it's going to be a bit of a spoof on Jurassic Park. |

I've been asked twice in the almost 30 years we have lived here if the place was available for film work...did not know enough to say yes. |

Much more came out after filming was done. Due diligence was not done by partners (family) as we were told. That's why I had film crew in my carport, they were told it was ok with me being asked. They also plugged in equipment to my outlets without asking. So sorry breaker tripped. Must have been to much of a draw on the circuit |
^^^ Interesting. I am glad it all worked out.
I will say a horror movie made in arguably the best place in the World is a bit of an oxymoron:cool: |

Our home is in a database for potential film location.
Our experience? They are the flakiest people I have ever dealt with, and I’ve been in business for nearly 40 years. They have set up a half dozen appointments, and never fulfilled any of them. My $.02. |
A warehouse full of swap meet collectables and some pretty cool high end eclectic items I have been going through and repairing for sale is an old WWII barracks with the high barrel ceiling. Pretty cool place now cut up into spaces for 4 dealers and an upholstery shop.
Some location scouts came by asking about the building and the surrounding lot. They wanted to make a surf shop facade. Trouble is the building is at the end of LGB airport's 10,000 foot runway used by Southwest many times a day. 7 days a week. Not only that, it's on a major street used al lot by emergency vehicles. I'm sure they will pass. However, there was a "reel" made to sell to someone to produce a Netflix series done there. I haven't seen the edited version, but I probably got my 3 seconds of fame working on an antique on camera. If they need an old white haired (former) surfer, I'm there a lot. |
A very well-known seasonal movie was filmed at my house years ago. The disruption to our quiet neighborhood was significant, but so was the remuneration.
We had to sleep at a hotel for a few nights, but it was otherwise a good experience. The 'stars' on location were great to deal with. It would suck to live nearby, suffer all the road closures, noise, and disruption, but get eff all for your troubles. We were treated very fairly and compensated for all the 'last minute stuff' that caused damage/changes to the interior and exterior of our house. I would be reluctant to let a 'low-budget' film be done at my house. |
Closing the loop on this one. Film was finally released last month. So far no talk of a sequel.

In honor of your place in the greatest place on Earth, I will have to try and watch it...the trailer is a semi-hoot.
