Aluminum gets really hard and brittle if it's bent.

Neither shop said anything about the hood being aluminum . It doesn't mean they didn't know, however aren't a lot of cars and trucks today have aluminum body panels ?

My best friend owns a body shop.
I spend countless hours drinking beer and looking at wrecks. Aluminum won't PDR. You may soften the damage... That's about it As someone just said aluminum doesn't behave like steel. |

I was out in the garage this morning and grabbed one of my magnetic pick up tools and placed it on the hood . Everywhere I placed it there was magnetic pull . So I don't believe the hood is aluminum . Magnets don't attract to aluminum correct ?
