Brand new, 41 year old, SR500 Thumper.
Fresh out of the box. Not sure if I would have been able to put gas in that immaculate tank....
I had one of these bikes, mine was black. I really like this silver-grey though. These guys are sort of knuckleheads, but they have a following, and they're not TOO obnoxious.

The srx600 was pretty cool too...but there are sooo many great bikes to drop $12K on that old stuff in a box gets to be a tough sell. ymmv.

Those were very, very cool bikes in their day. Unfortunately, vastly under appreciated by that period's market. Like a few other Japanese big singles, they were essentially "the British bike that ran every day".
The high water mark has proven to be Honda's GB500. Just try to buy one today... I dare you... ![]()
