I have an E6 at home. Bought an E8 for my brother and another one for my sister after they tried it and were in love with the quality of the brew. And I have an X8 in one office and a Giga W3 in another office. You won't regret getting a Jura E8. You'll never go back to $hitty coffee so get ready for all other coffees to be ruined for you. Everyone in my office says I've ruined all coffee for them and now only the Jura will do. 5 coworkers bought an E6 after they tried it in the office.

Lavazza - usually get the basic espresso, sometimes the ‘crema’ about 15 bucks for 1 kg on Amazon. I also buy their DEK Decaf buy that one on whole latte love.
Only thing you want to be careful with is over roasted coffee that’s oily. It tends to gum up the mechanism. (Aside from it being **** coffee usually.) |

Locally, in DTLA, I get Blend No.1 from Boxx in the Arts District.
Otherwise, Olympia Roasting Company's Big Truck espresso. Good espresso is not a luxury. It's necessary. |

I get my beans from Whole Latte Love. I have to buy $50 worth to get free shipping.
We get a kilo of Lavazz basic espresso in almost every order and add something new to bring the total up to $50. Lately: Gaggia Intenso - I like it! Whole Latte Love Crema Wave Espresso - Good one that we re-order frequently Maromas Orphea Expresso - just got it, no review yet

What I like most about this machine is I can make a 5 oz coffee and add an espresso and a cappuccino to it instantly just by pressing buttons. And the result is fantastic.

My standard cup is 7 oz. and yes, sometimes I'll power it up with a 2oz. shot of espresso.

I bought the WE6 office size machine recently because we ended up drinking mostly lungos and refilling water constantly on the little compact machine drove me nuts. This holds 101 oz of water, problem solved. Also appreciate the large coffee and waste capacities. Some people think I’m insane having an office size coffee maker but it gives us so much joy, it’s worth every penny.

We're using the broken one, but since we have another one NIB that old one is just begging for some automated filling action. Going Arduino-ish would be pretty easy but for some catalog-picking and fourth-grade Python. The nearly old grouch engineer in me wants to do something with old fashioned electronics - as that's more difficult(?) and more likely for me to screw up. Of course we're going the hard way... You would have to do a really good job not to come back to a flooded kitchen one day.
Looks like there are some cheap kids for the keurig. Nothing for the Jura Except a factory kit for the X line of machines. |

I have to say, you guys have me shopping around for various Jura machines, I'm having a tough time figuring out how much of a machine I really need...E? J? S? Maybe, just maybe there will be a Memorial Day sale? I keep checking.
any sage advice?

One feature we miss is the grinder bypass. I would not own another super automatic without this feature.

Did you estimate the number of shots or is there is a way to access Jura’s shot counter? I would love to know things like the number of shots a filter is good for etc.

Popping my head in here as Shaun mentioned this thread on FB.
We just got a Z10 after shopping for a while. The option for “cold” coffee was appealing to us and I snagged a deal on a factory refurbished machine. We are loving it so far, and now I’m shopping for a cool control so we don’t have to go across the kitchen every time we want a milk drink. We should have done this a long time ago, with both of us working from home we will get lots of use out of it! Definitely need to shop around and try some different beans. I agree with JYL that it’s hard to think about a $25 bag of beans, but when the machine cost this much isn’t it worth getting the most out of it? 🤣 There’s a local roaster called Peixoto that I’ve heard good things about. They own a coffee farm in Brazil and import the beans and roast them here in AZ. |

Thanks for chiming Sid! On the cost of coffee, when I find the perfect beans, or even close, I almost don't care what it costs. If I can replicate the Kenyan AA in England (earlier post) I'd pay $25/lb all day long. Even $50 and just make it for special occasions. It was that good.

If you are shopping, scroll the bottom of the shop Jura site and join their email list. They’ll send you a 10% off coupon. I stacked that on top of the sale they have right now on refurbed Z10s and got ours for $2500 shipped. ![]() |

I was pleased with a deal I got on a Z10 on ebay.
My old espresso machine had a water line fitted so I wanted to do the same with the Jura. Ordered a float valve and some tubing from Amazon, easy fit inside the reservoir and one hole drilled at the top so I’m not concerned about leaks. https://a.co/d/2TNaNPb
