If we knew then what we know now. I'd still have my '66 Fender Precision Bass guitar, the Sears Silvertone amp and all of my baseball cards. Those cards alone would have paid for a small beach house.

You must have either been driving down a pretty good incline or had a long (like, say, a mile) running start.

Yes, indeed. It took about a mile to get up to 50mph for a start. We had a road that ran down the side of the airport tat went straight onto a rocky riverbed. Great place for guns, boozing, chainsaws, parties and trail bike riding as a school boy. They used to dig it up a bit to get rocks to make roads so we always had launching ramps for the trail bikes. Me being a bit innovative used to get the VW up to speed up down the road and then hit it trail bike style.

Okay, after I posted the link to the Singer I found out that there will be no more 911 Singers. Rob is moving on to electric cars. Another in a long line of things that I found out much later than I would have liked. (Like Vince Gill filling in on Eagles concerts. Who knew.)
