What a great concert - unexpected.

My wife got tickets to go see Brian Adams. I used to like Brian Adams and one of my first cassettes back in the mid 80s was one of his. This being said, seeing Brian Adams live was not on my bucket list.

I was amazed that he filled the Saddledome (10,000 plus people). Admittedly the crowd had more grey hair than I’ve seen at any other concert (this includes the Neil Diamond concert my parents took me to in 1986).

The show was incredible. He played for 80 minutes straight, ended with Summer of 69, then said, ‘Ok, it’s your turn,’ and played requests from the crowd for another 45 minutes. Very interactive, pretty awesome for a 63 year old rocker.

Oh and I’ve never seen a full scale corvair drone before.

I'll bet that was real good.
This is one of my favorites.

Very cool. Yeah, I had one or two Bryan Adams cassettes/CDs back in the day.

It sounds like it was a great concert.

Wow. I saw him back in 1981 in Mobile, Alabama. He opened for Foreigner. His big song at the time was "Cuts Like A Knife" and I've always liked that song. I always thought it was cool how, in the video, the girl dives into an empty pool but comes out wet.

My Wife dated him early in his career (Cuts Like A Knife years). He was getting popular and she didn't want to tour and travel so they ended the relationship amicably.

I've always told her I wouldn't be opposed to seeing one of his concerts. He's a great songwriter, written a few soundtracks. Don Juan DeMarco (Johnny Depp, Marlon Brando) is a great soundtrack.

I always liked Bryan Adams. I had the "Reckless" album back in the day and thought the whole thing was strong.

In a similar vein, I had a girlfriend in the late '90s that dragged me to a Rod Stewart concert. It was a bucket list thing for her as she was a big fan. Me - not so much. But...I was blown away. Excellent concert that changed my whole opinion of Rod Stewart as a result.

Big fan and have been since his "Reckless" album came out.

I have quite a few of his CD's and recently posted one or two of his recent vids in the music thread.

GLAD to see Bryan is still ROCKING! God bless and love the man and his crew!!!

And thanks much for sharing Bill...good good stuff!

Even as an old man, Rod Stewart is a hell of an entertainer.

I have heard that Bryan Adams still puts on a great show. Friend saw him at the California State Fair a few years ago, same story as the OP tells.
