Saw him on a tree documentary on mebbe PBS a year or so ago.... Cool guy!

Yep, I remember Sea Level (when no one knew who they, or Chuck was), then the Allmans and the Stones and a few more. Reminds me of Bobby Keys (RIP) in that regard .... A musician's musician who everybody wants in their band!

Damn tree hugger extrordinaire too

Good one...thanks! Too bad he can't do a bit of educating more about proper forest management.
Here in Oregon...very poor management of both state and federal forest land. Privately managed forests are a different story.
